Five for Friday

Guess who will be playing in Nashville May 1st?  We'll get getting tickets tomorrow.  *hopefully*

This is what Jack wants to do now. . . he says "I wan fiiiight you."
Chaos much?  And what exactly do you think David is doing here?

Official name?  Georgia.  I just can't bring myself to have Max and Ruby.
Has anyone ever used a harness like this?  I think I want to get some for the dogs.  They look much more comfortable than the ones we have now.

Have a great day!

Because we didn't have enough to do. . .

This is Georgia.  Our new dog.  Yes, you read that correctly.  When we brought all of our donation goodies to the animal rescue after Jack's birthday, I saw her and couldn't stop thinking about her.  We went back last weekend and this week we are fostering her for the week.  Um, there's not a snowball's chance in hell she's going back.  She's such a sweet girl, and we all love her.  We had a couple of rough patches with Max showing some signs of food aggression, etc. but that has virtually disappeared.

I think we will rename Georgia.  We've kicked around a few names, but Ruby seems to be the favorite.  Yes folks, Max and Ruby.  If you have preschool children, you're laughing your ass off.  Why?
Max and Ruby are perhaps the most irritating preschool show around with a theme song that will get stuck in your head for days.  Don't believe me?  Google it.  The show is a bossy big sister bunny and her trouble making little brother.  Oddly, they have no parents and this disturbs my husband to no end.  However, all of my kids have been obsessed loved this show at one point and they really, really want to name her Ruby.  We've kicked around a couple of other names:  Maggie (Chris' suggestion, because he thinks a dog named Maggie Simpson would be a riot), Milly, Mary. . . Ruby seems to be the winner.

And really?  Can we discuss when I became a dog person?!

Jack's Birthday Recap

I promise, I have the best bloggy intentions.  I really do. . .

Jack's birthday party has come and gone.  We had a very small party.  I feel a little conflicted about that, since he's the youngest child and I'm sure will always feel slighted in some way.  However, having a birthday two weeks after Christmas and being the youngest of three boys born in three years, you can imagine the lack of need he has for toys and clothes.  As such, this year we asked that if people wanted to bring Jack a gift that they make a donation instead to the Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, which is where we got Max.  The Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue is a fabulous organization full of people who really love animals.  The animals are fostered in homes and really taken care of well.  All of the volunteers are so kind, and we felt like they had much more of a need for gifts than Jack.  And, quite frankly, he's not old enough to know the difference.  This photo is everything that Jack's guests brought to donate to the Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue.
We added to that, and the entire donation ended up being:  three fifteen pound bags of dog food, two packages of wet dog food, three bowls, two PetSmart gift cards, one check, three towels, one box of wet cat food, two five pound bags of cat food, two dog collars, four packages of cat and dog toys, four individual dog toys, hand sanitizer, two bottles of bleach, two tubs of kitty litter, 15 cans of cat food, 10 cans of dog food, and two packages of dog treats.  Chris and I were so excited to bring the boys to make the donation.  Jack, of course, didn't really understand what we were doing, but David and Henry did.

Don't think that Jack's birthday party was all about anything but him though!  He had a cute cake and got several really cute gifts.
Now the planning begins for David's birthday. . .
