Hump Day

David: Mama, how do babies get in a mama's belly?

Me: Um, what do you mean? (Thinking, what the hell?? Why don't you ask your father these questions! What am I going to say???)

David: You know what I mean. How does a baby get in a mama's belly?

Me: Well, mommies and daddies give each other special hugs and kisses, and then there's a baby in the mama's belly. (Thinking, thank you Amy for telling me this story about your own boys!)

David: Oh, that makes sense.

Yesterday. . .

David: What was that you were saying about babies getting into the mama's belly?

Henry: SPECIAL HUGS AND KISSES!

David: Oh yeah. Me and S***** are going to do that together.

Me: Oh no, only grown ups do that!!

That is a tough question to answer! My husband is an obstetrician and my 6 year old knows he delivers babies. She asked him last week how his surgeries went since he did two deliveries that day. He said "No surgery today honey, the babies usually come out of the mom's vagina, not their tummies". Upon which she replied, "Daddy, that is gross, that is her private area!"

I am expecting the phone calls to start from the other kindergarten moms any day now!
